It's 2015 - no Bluetooth?

I'm just posting this hoping that BRP is scanning these threads. I can understand the early model years not having Bluetooth but c'mon guys - it's 2015. Hardwiring iPods and mp3 players is so 2008.

Man do I feel stupid. Is a $5.00 dongle really all we need?

These are sold on eBay for $5.00 but you know I have never seen one in a store.

The one I bought works great.

I even use it to tie my Sirius radio (which has no bluetooth) in to my Jambox. A single charge lasts for days.

or you could buy the brp bluetooth dongle or lookup finless bob and he has a video on how to make your own and then your radio, Ipod everything is bluetooth.

I think the originator of this thread does have a point. For the amount of money we pay for these rides, fully integrated bluetooth should be standard. The design of the RT-S electronics, which is all I am familiar with, is crude and leaves much to be desired. The official Can Am add-on is ridiculously expensive.

You can only control volume--at least with the android system samsung s5 that I bluetooth in
And--borrowed an ipod--plugged it in and the sound was 60% more clear

All my other vehicles are bluetooth integrated so channell selection etc runs off of steering wheel or handlebar switch

When so many people use a Bluetooth in the helmet, why bother with hooking it into the bike. There is nothing more annoying, than listening to someone's music turned to 11, on lousy motorcycle speakers, but it would be nice to pair everything ON the bike to a helmet headset!

I do not use bluetooth helmet

I like speakers on bike
It has automatic volume which cuts it down at stoplights & such
Give an old school rock&roller a break

Assuming we will turn it up to 11 if we have bluetooth capability
