Hey everyone - I am interested in getting feedback on which type of highway pegs are better, the ones made by Billet Parts or Kewl? I want to make sure I put pegs on that will hold up to the weight of my legs and will not bend the bike frame. Thanks for any and all input :spyder:- GO2LKG

Got about 20,000 miles on mine and have yet to bend them. You can't stand on them but it will hold the weight of your legs just fine and they will let you streach out further than the Kewlmetal. If you have short legs then Kewlmetal would be the way to go.

Thanks! I am looking at taking a few day long runs in the month of November and want to get pegs installed sooner than later. Thanks again for your feedback:D. Go2lkg

I had the Billet Bike Parts brackets and they were plenty strong enough for resting your feet on. Like lamonster said, I couldn't stand on them but they worked fine for a foot rest. The thing I didn't like about them is how far apart it felt like my legs were spread to use them. I just rest my legs on the left and right side cowls and my wife has the Billet brackets now. We set them up with an extension and floorboards on her Spyder and she really likes them.

The KewlMetal Pegs can take the weight for sure.
I am 6'3" and they work for me.
They can be set foward or back also.

I think you were the person that wrote me back late last week explaining that the Kewl pegs do not require drilling additional holes in the frame. Thanks for the quick feedback!

Does anyone know where I can get black foot pegs? I am finding lots of black on chrome but not much all black.

Thanks again - GO2LKG

Give Matt a call at KewlMetal he can fill you in on all the details, it will cost about 300 bucks for the black ISO pegs brackets hardware and all.

I have the Billet brackets also and agree... not bad on distance, but a bit wide. Anybody come up with a mod to angle them in a bit and/or maybe bring them up and over the cowel? I'm thinkng maybe extend the bracket straight up and mount the pegs on the inside?

This thread is pretty "dated", but I was hoping you can provide a part number and ordering address (or Link) for the Highway Pegs you purchased.

Is Kew Metal out of business? Can't seem to get links to work.
