I am NOT a computer/internet nerd. I use both for business and pleasure, but I have little understanding of the 'inner workings' of the internet.

I have been hearing (reading??) some talk about the 'DARKNET.' Here is a better explanation about this new-old technology:

It's always been there. But, today, with the tech available, you can truly be anonymous and can get away with more if you're inclined to. I doubt that the future will be much different. Even if the U.S. Corporations try to manipulate it.
