And then there was the "bear guy" who came to Katmai National Wildlife Preserve for a few years in a row. He tried to live among the Grizzlies, camping on their pathways and interacting with them. They were his "friends." He gave many of them names.

He made his living by going to schools and putting on "bear programs."

Both he and his girlfriend were eaten one night. It was captured on tape, but not played publicly.

A number of years ago when I was living in Central Florida, I would take bike rides (10 speed) through a county park with numerous lakes. Early one evening I saw half a dozen people gathered at one of the lakes, They were taking pics while throwing stuff at an alligator!!! I said do y'all realize how fast gators are, one guy told me to MYOB. Your funeral I said. You can't fix stupid.
