Valerie's surgery yesterday went very well.:yes:It was done laparoscopically, with 4 small incisions. She had her first solid food this morning, and tolerated it well. She will be coming home at some point today. I spoke to her about 1/2 hour ago & she is in very good spirits, and ready to come home. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who sent their thoughts and prayers to her. I know it helped get her through this. As for as our trip to Texas, I think that we are going to wait until April when we were going anyway for our son's wedding. Again, many thanks to you all for your support.:bowdown:

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

My Donna had a complete hysterectomy done robotically several years ago and it really sped the recovery time. Can hardly see the little scars (4 of them plus one in the bellybutton).

Good news, indeed!

Be sure she discusses with her doctor or a nurse the best way to keep that incision inside her navel from getting infected . . . it is a common occurrence and can set back the healing process, as well as being painful.
