I wonder if older Police motorcycles will eventually become collectible if all cop bikes become electric?

from the article:
The town of Burbank, California, has just bought a fleet of electric motorcycles from Zero Motorcycles for its police force. So now the city can also enjoy the title of having the quietest police force.

Interesting. That will be a very good test of how electrics stand up to hard everyday use.

The Zero brand has had some good write ups in the cycle magazines.

burbank is a small area and the range would be the main issue. For round town etc should work great...will give new meaning to silent alarm..!! :roflblack:

The bad guys will not have to work to hard to loose them they don't have any range to speak of.
ZERO is nice but when they tried them here they had to have 2 for every officer to complete an 8 hour shift
they would only last for 4 hours then need to be charged. they parked them and are back to good ole gas.
