SRA-LA, to the best of my knowledge which is limited, will not have a booth at the motorcycle show,

they have a couple of meet up points for breakfast that is open to all riders I believe,

I am going to try to make the Long Beach cafe breakfast early, but have to leave by 8:15 to be at the signups for the demo rides.

here is a link, http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?74841-Rest-of-2014-Rides-and-Events-for-the-Los-Angeles-areas

Look forward to meeting you and checking out your ride  If you do join the club, please continue sharing your experience

here as many just jump over to Facebook and we never here from them again, although they do frequent here as guests.:)

Oh look another squirrel. I was just informed by MY better half I have confused Scotty with another club member, so apologies go out to all. I did get the " I got your card" right.

Yeah, I totally messed that up. Nothing new for me, SpyderAnn was nice enough to point out my delusion. Met another member at the demo and thought he was with the person he was sitting next to and carrying on a conversation and I referred to him as "Scotty" when I was reporting in on the days event. Long fun day though. Pleasure meeting you regardless of my durr moment.

As long as you had fun nothing else matters.

Thanks SpyderAnn we had a really good time, and my Girlfriend is considering selling her 2010 RSS because of the comfort of the F3 . Having fun was the word of the day.

That's great that she finds the F3 more comfortable than the RSS. I didn't find the forward controls comfortable for me but I did like the added power and handling.

Since I currently ride a Harley, the F3 was a new experience, as I have only ridden the RSS home when I bought for her Birthday in 2011. She has issues with her wrist an arms pressing on the bars because she has to lean forward and out. F3 positions her in a more natural posture.

Does she have risers on her RS? A riser would be a whole lot cheaper than a new F3. But not as much fun.

No risers, but have suggested them to her. Depending on her decision on the F3, that is a viable mode.

I have a friend who had a RSS. He is in his 70's and doesn't ryde much. Two years after he bought it I drove it to the dealer for him for the 600 mile check up. He couldn't drive it that far. I couldn't stand the ryde either. Its designed for crotch rocketeers. I suggested he get handle bar risers on it and get the Air Hawk II cushion. He already had a MaddStadd window brackets and window on it. He followed my suggestion and was very pleased. He stands about 6-2 and with his age his back got tender real quick.

Then one day I asked him to follow me to the dealer so I can get a overnight repair job done. While there we looked at three Spyders on the showroom: RSS, ST, and RT all black and all new. I decided to see if I could trade my 10 RT in for the 14 RT and did the paperwork. Unfortunately I owed too much still on the 10 and didn't want to pay $3,500 for the tradein.

But my "friend" had a glimmer in his eye for the same bike and worked out a deal to trade in his RSS for the RT. No down. The dealer even trailered the RT to his house 30 miles away and took the RSS back with them. My wife doesn't like the color black anyway.

He really likes the comfort of the RT and wants a back rest like mine...Utopia, BRP's costs too much...

Now if only I can get him to ryde his bike more.
