They are a cool looking machine. But, I have heard people say that they are a bit hard to get out of. Did you try one Dave?

What has prompted this enthusiasm?
Di you get a chance to sit in one, or maybe even DRIVE one?? :(
They DO look like a lot of fun; I'll stick with my RT.

It's tough on those of us waiting. All the dealers were sent 3 - one mandated for demos, and the other two for new owners. Unfortunately, I am #3 on the list...

Getting in one is easy :D...
Bring along a milk crate: climb up on it, and just FALL into it!
I haven't got the exit strategy figured-out yet...

Park under a tree with a large overhanging branch...
Once you stop; throw a rope up over the branch, and...

Wait! You better not; folks might think that you're getting lynched! :yikes:

Once the after market solves the storage problem it will be on my radar. As is you can buy a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread with it (if you carry your helmet with you).:dontknow: Doesn't look like it will pass muster as a tourer...yet. Same engine as my GMC Terrain.

Dave,

At Myrtle Beach and Daytona and it seemed easier than my Camaro. Looking at pictures definitely don't do them justice. I had told myself how inefficient they are and that one wouldn't be right for me, but when I saw and sat in one all of those thoughts disappeared.

So, what do you think; are they an addition to the garage? A replacement? A weekend fling??? :D

Cal777

For my Harley, but never could I imagine replacing my Spyder with anything other than another Spyder. If I could get my hands on one, I would have a Slingshot tomorrow and work out the details later.

Build an addition on the garage! :D

Remember: :lecturef_smilie: add at LEAST two more bays than you think that you'll EVER need...
That way; the next addition should be at least a couple of years away! :D

Yes I did, not only is is easier to get into and out of than a T-Rex it is less money by a bunch
and it has a Chevrolet engine not a motorcycle engine..... big plus

First owner has experienced problems, read his review. Engine dies when downshifting from 2nd to 1st, also a problem in the camber that they supposedly fixed. http://www.slingshotforums.com/threads/i-got-my-slingshot.1260/page-8#post-26297

I am from Texas and will wait for the bugs and fixes fixed in the first year. Besides cant own one now anyway. Stupid Texas laws!

The value measured in " fun factor" seems to be very good. My dealer will have them on the 29th this month. The wife (her name is Julie also) and I will be checking them out then. She is as excited as I am to pick one up.
