I've read about different custom seats, I currently have the original seat and also the Comfort seat from CanAm. Neither of which work for long rides. Heard about different custom seats, any thoughts on which seems to be the best? I am 6'4" , 210lbs.

Corbin, Ultimate or Russel Day Long. I have heard some good things about all three of them on this site. I think I am going to try the Ultimate seat.

Before you spend big bucks on another seat you might try an Airhawk seat cushion. Works for me and many other ryders and is much cheaper.

If you want the best, get a Russell.
Just did a write up in the ST forum with pics.

Went on a 1500 miler and hit the Dragon & Snake without even a twitch!
The beauty of a good seat is you aren't sliding off of it or out of it... Makes a huge difference and we'll worth the investment.
When I've sold them off my old bikes in the past, I think I've list maybe $50 off what I paid!! That's a good return for something you've used!

Ultimates seats told me they were coming out with a "tall boy" a couple weeks back. The seating position is 2" further rearward like the RT comfort seat, but it also sounds like it has more of a depression to sit in too. It may be out now. I'm going to direct Santa in that direction.

Works for me just fine thank you. Ride tank to tank, that would be about 160 mls or 3 hours in the saddle.

Ultimate does make a very nice comfy seat. Just keep in mind that on the RS/ST it does move you closer to the bars.
It didn't work for my 6' 32" inseam 250lb frame....just sayin'.

DrewNJ-
We should be unveiling a new seat option for the RS/ST within the next 2-3 weeks... May be a good solution for you...

Best,

Dave

I really like my Russell Day Long. The great thing about the Russell is it is actually custom built for you. The others are an off the shelf one size fit all type of seat. I'm 6'6" 270lbs and can ride on my Russell all day. I had a comfort seat and it is no comparison.

That we do. When you try a seat and you don't like it all you can say is oops. Seats are very subjective. You will never know what will work for you until you try it. Still going down that road. I'm a little reluctant to roll the dice on a 6-8 hundred dollar seat.

Coz,

Don't forget that with our seats, we give you 14 days from delivery to make sure you love the seat. If you don't, return it in like new condition, and you are only out your freight charges. For us, you're rolling the dice on much less that $600-$800 if we don't meet/beat your expectations.

Best,

Dave
