Watch it until the very end.

2015 GMC 2500 Duramax Runaway Engine Pulled up to open gate, engine started to rev up, turned off ignition, engine never shut off. CRAZY Runaway! Tachometer red lined until it destroyed itself. Odometer reads 3378 miles! Still not sure of all the damage done.

Seen this happen on other diesels. Usually caused by engine oil in the fuel system. Bad seals in intercooler, blown seals in turbo. You can shut it down and it will still run. By the looks of the smoke, definitely oil in the fuel system. Shame it happened on a new truck. Looks like GM is going to have a heavy warranty bill.

Your opinion. I have a 2014 Impala and a 2004 Silverado. To each his own. We can still be friends though. :roflblack:

it's like a self destruct mode..have seen it happen..could have done more to kill the engine but it would only do it again....:yikes:

I dont mind being your friend, besides, you'll need a ride when your GM products break down.

At about 48 seconds and before it exploded the hood is ajar. I think this was a set-up, just my opinion.

I have seen this happen when they fill up with gas instead of diesel.

Hey guys, everyone cannot buy the best truck out there. If everyone bought a Ford, there would be no competition Without competition the Ford F-series trucks would not be where they are now. I just hope GM can catch up, never in their history have one the the big three gotten this far ahead of the other two. Just a few years ago each would one up the others just about every year and it needs to get back to that. GM and Fiat need to spend some major bucks and develop a truck and power train for the next decade. An all steel 5500lb behemoth that rumbles along at 16 mpg empty is not going to cut it in the future.

That said, I'll not likely replace my 7000lb F250 until I wear it out. That would be many years in the future at the rate I am going. So 16 or so mpg it is for me. Hard to justify a $50,000 pickup when there is nothing wrong with the one I have, despite being 13 yrs old.
