I've ridden roads like that, here in WV... Just the other week!

I love how the car flips and they just roll it over and carry on! Classic!!

someone said that 85% of the roads in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont are still dirt/gravel. They do a better job of road maintenance on them, but if true, that's an astounding statistic.

I would venture to say there are 4x4's today that could not stand up to those roads and those were two wheel drive.

Side note: my grandfather went to Lima Peru from Lake Oquaga NY in 1900. He was the first Reo Truck, Ford and Buick dealer. He dumpped all dealerships and made his money selling parts and farkels that fell off those cars because they only had those roads and cobblestone to drive on...

I thought the roads in NY were pretty good in comparison to VT, NH, Me, & NJ. We did some riding in the Adirondacks this spring and the roads around Lake George were not bad at all.

They always keep Route 73 in pretty good shape... just in case another chance to host the Winter Olympics pops up!

Nice pictures of Alaska roads North of Fairbanks. :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Driving was sure an adventure way back when. Don't think :spyder2: would do very well in the same situation.

Our fare city, are now repaving the whole roadways... Our streets shall rock.
Ryding on them clean new pathways is sweet, they sure feel good.

I doubt many non 4x4 vehicles today could go thru that crap. I think dealer should set up courses like that for test drives. :roflblack:

That was one tough commute to work! :yikes:

That's the sort of driving experience of a young Lt. Eisenhower led a convoy across the US to see how the army could mobilize if it had to. Then, when he became president, he authorized the building of the interstate highway system.

It actually reminds me a lot of the road back into our "Deer Camp" in the Adirondacks...
Twelve miles of entertainment... nojoke
Watch the driver get madder and madder, with each added "Onchiota Pin-Stripe"! :gaah:

114% of our roads; are made of potholes... :shocked:Here, in the People's Republik of Kaliforeignia, the roads used to be nicely paved. During the last 20 years the government has been improving the roads. They are now more conducive to lower speeds (gridlock) and community interaction (wrecks) as they quickly morph into gravel. The government is so good in helping us slow down and interact more frequently.
