Anyone found a longer curved or shapped valve stem for the RT rear wheel? I'm looking for one that can be accessed from the side opposite the drive belt & gear. I have a new tire on order and when I get it mounted I'd like to change out the stock valve stem to something more useful.

I do not want to re-drill or alter the existing stem hole. I'd like a drop-in replacement. Please post any links or part numbers to what you have found that works

....If I understand you correctly ....you are looking for a re-placement valve stem that goes in the OEM hole and the goes up, turns and then goes thru the entire rim so you can access it from the other........... side ??????..............YOU ARE JOKING ......RIGHT !!!!!!...........That stem does not exist .........I drilled a NEW hole on the opposite side of the rim and put in a metal MTC 87 degree angled Valve stem in both my other Spyders .....I bought them on-line from Kurveygirl.com..( they are made by ENKIE )...2 @ $ + 2.50 shipping.........If you do this make sure you drill the hole at 1/2 inch inside the depressed line on the inside of the RIM so the TIRE mounting machine clears the valve ..................and I left the other stems in....I just filled them with silicone from the inside .................................Mikeguyver

Do you have a brand name or dealer name for these? They look like you attach them to the existing valve stem. Right? IF that's how they're designed to work, they ought to solve the access issue.

Perhaps these will accomplish what you are looking for:

95287...........If you have these mounted on your rear valve stem I would like to see a picture ....because I don't think there is enough clearance to the SPROCKET .........and even if it is, reaching across the rim from the disc side to un-screw the cap then to put any type of device on would be extremely difficult at best......JMHO.....Mikeguyver

I did not say I used them on the Spyder, but I do have them on the motorhome. You can find them in most any truck supply. Very common part for trucks with dual rear tires. Yes, they are extensions that thread on to the existing stem.

No idea if they would clear the sprocket on a spyder or be reachable from the right side.

I have no real trouble with the location of the valve stem where BRP put it. I reach through the sprocket and attach my gage/filler without much problem.

i have them in stock in lots of length's on the 90 degree. i would never drill a new hole in a wheel there can always
be a problem that can not be fixed without tig welding. i plan on changing mine when i powder my rear wheel.

The picture posted by Magdave won't allow it. However, thanks to Magdave, when I have my rear tire replaced I will get that one.

In a round about way, I'm saying I agree with the BLUEKNIGHT911 post, which you quieted.

I have one; but, it's not a good idea to leave on. After checking pressures, I remove it. What Lamont mentioned was that it will cause the rubber stem to flex and crack, if left on.
