Does anyone else have problems with the placement of the break peddle? I have a '14 RT-S and the peddle seems to be a little to high for me to easily get my toe on it, gets to be a pain in the knee and ankle...

I have the oversized brake peddle from TricLed and although it is the same height, it is easier to work with.

The Seal floorboards raise your foot - might be just enough??

Why not try placing a raised heel-plate on the 'Boards? :dontknow:

It seems a little high to me also. I tend to pivot my foot on my heel to reach the brake, instead of lifting my entire leg. That results in just pressing on the edge of the pedal -- I worry that my foot will slip off in a critical situation, but I guess I'm not worried enough to overcome my laziness.

It helped when I realized that I could disengage the cruise control just by bumping the side of the brake pedal instead of actually pressing it down. That saves me several calories a month.

The absolute BEST fix is an ISCI hand brake.

IMO, there is no better solution.

Cruzr JoeJoe,

I've been thinking about buying that. Do you have to raise the Spyder to install it?

Me too. It works better than the OEM--IMO.

Have the same problem. Have to lift my foot up and apply with my heal, really awkward. plus if I wear baggy pants, the cuffs will catch and turn my brake light on,so have to look down from time to time to make sure I'm not dragging my brake. I'm 6'2" w/a 32" inseam. I think people under 6' tall have it much easier, because my wife is 5'9" and she can apply the brake as it should be.:yikes:

Mad Mac, I'm also 6'2" with a 32" inseam. I knew that was an issue, I don't want to buy the comfort seat, it would cut into the wife's seating area. I know the hand brake is a fix, but not one I want to invest in. I still don't know how the oversized peddle helps, anyone willing to take a picture or two, Bob, that's usually your first response and if I read your post correctly maybe you could supply them...

I went to their site and the last thing they have under the info on the oversized brake pad is that they are not compatible on the '13 with floorboards. I assume that means that my '14 RTS falls into that category... Oh well it was a good thought.
