A few months back I was all pumped up about going to Spyderquest. I was anxious to meet some of the participants of this forum. I made reservations at the host hotel. Within 30 minutes I realized it was the same weekend as my 50 year high school reunion. Reservations cancelled. Now that it's getting closer it's starting to bother me even more.
UGH!

I never understood why anyone would want to go to a high school reunion. I graduated in '87 and I never cared for it. I always thought it was just a time to try to out do one another with their life stories and what they have. Nope, not for me.

But, I am up for meeting some new friends at SpyderQuest

If it helps, I went to my 50th on my Spyder. I was an unpopular wimpy nerd in high school. It felt good arriving at all the events on the Spyder!

I have a PhD, and hated High School. Why would I ever want to see those folks again??? Don't know about you, but if I was going to travel a thousand miles or so, I'd really want to go somewhere worthwhile!

Don't do reunions but do understand. If it was a high point and close friends were made it would be fun. Many a movie made about this fenomenum do hope it is fun and all those you hope to see make it...enjoy and hope and pray someone has the time to take a picture at the quest and post it...:roflblack:

Life is full of problems with prioritizing one's choices...
Whichever event you attend; I hope that you have a GREAT time! :2thumbs:

Reunions can be fun. My high school has a annual reunion for all grads and then the year specials, like 50. I went to my 60th last year. Some of the people you thought were jerks are kind of nice and the other way around.

conflicts, Bah Humburg. Grandson getting married in MI, 100 year Dawn patrol show in Dayton, ohio USAF museum the same week end.
Oh well, have in either case.

never made to any of my reunions. Nothing against them, but other things have always taken priority. I have a core of friends from HS and we still keep in touch in spite of being geographically dispersed, so I guess that lessens the desire to go too. I would not mind seeing some of the other folks again though.

Sorry, you must have been very unpopular in High School to feel that way. Me, I had a great time in High School. After 56 years, and a class of 244 I always attend our reunions and stay in touch with many of my old classmates. I cherish my many life time friends and fellow classmates.

UGH!Spyderquest is Awesome, and you meet new friends, awesome rides, and visit the vendors, and see what people have done to there spyders. Also, Don't for the Farkle B I N G O. Just an awesome time to be with your fellow spyder riders.

This will be my 2nd Spyderquest that I have gone to. It is a great time of the year, the leaves start to turn colors. Before Old Man winter sets in , and before we put our :spyder2:' s in for there long winter nap:gaah:, here in the northeast we hope that the winter is very short. ( so we can take our :spyder2: ' s out again) Deanna777:ohyea:

Never been to my class reunion ( in 2 years it will be my 35th class reunion) I would choose going to Spyderquest, instead of going to class reunion. Deanna777:ohyea:
