Wow!! What a paint job.

Recently re-opened for public circulation, the Italian pass of Gavia has seen one of the first oddities of the season: a heavily customized Suzuki GSX-1300R Hayabusa... in a pharaoh's livery.

Now, that's not only a very rare sight for Passo Gavia (in the vicinity of the much more popular Stelvio): we definitely don't happen to see such machinery too often, to say the least.

Aside from the maniacal, obsessive way this bike was customized, we must admit it looks very cool and is as artsy as it gets. While we're no experts in ancient Egyptian art, we daresay it looks very convincing and extremely aerodynamic.

We can't say if Vetter had something to do with its bodywork, but the bike looks even faster than the stock Busa. A flat tire is however, a very unfortunate thing while aboard this bike, as it will probably require triple time to have it fixed. Anyway, with such a bike pulled over, we're positive there will be a lot of other motorists willing to lend a hand.

We're still not decided whether this is a win or a fail in absolute terms, but one things is sure: this is insanely peculiar! Via MotoBlog.it.

Update: The Egyptian god on the fairing is Khnum, the source of the Nile river, also known as the Divine Potter, creator of the first humans.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A little too much for my taste. Wonder if the owner is an archaeologist.

If the ryder was dressed as a mummy, the look would be complete.
