I had it sutck to the underside of the Frunklid... it wouldn't stay put! :gaah:
So I gave up, ad mounted it up on the dash on the Right-Hand side.
That way, the camera; which is on the left, should have an unobstructed view of it.
(I'll see if I can grab a pic tomorrow for you!)

94535 I have had mine on the inside of the "frunk cover for over 1 year. It has been read through all toll booths I have gone through. The industrial strength Velcro that it comes with it works great. My NY EZPass has an "M" designation on it, which I assume is for motorcycles. If you pull a trailer in NJ you get charged for 3 axles on toll roads. BS, but what are you gonna do? Still fun to ride & go someplace. Lake George next week!!:yes::yes::yes::yes: Yeah I know, a little excessive with the dancing peppers, but we are excited to meet new folks at SpyderQuest next week. My EZ Pass will work just fine, as it always has.

Another vote for frunk lid.
Before mounting it, make sure you clean up the plastic area with alcohol to clean off any residue that interferes with the tape adhering.

I get a little bit of glare up in the windshield, but it's off to the side, and isn't bothersome.
I used a heavy-duty double-sided tape; the sort of stuff that you'd use to stick automotive moulding to your cage...
It should be strong enough to keep the typical lazy :cus:, from trying to walk off with it...

You should call and ask when they're moving to what TX has... it's a sticker with a transponder in it. You can easily attach anywhere on the Spyder and it's non-obtrusive - even on the backside of the start-up card on the dash!!

But if you tell them at TxTag that it is for a motorcycle, it comes in a plastic housing about the size of the sticker. I have 2 of them. Oh, and a $35 deposit fee. I have ours on the dash, but with all of the positive feedback of inside the frunk, I'll be moving ours.

Funny thing I've noticed about that. Every time I've gassed up the Spyder, the attendant just handed me the nozzle and left me to pump my own gas. I guess they don't like dealing with a gas tank under the seat.

I think the no self service laws are crazy, but I have never had an attendant in either OR or NJ actually attempt to fill a motorcycle I am riding. They always hand it to me, but they won't let me swipe my own credit card.

What I could not figure out is if the law is for "safety" how is one attendant at a service area watching four pumps at once any safer than me filling my own tank.

They always let you pump your own gas in motorcycle. Cars, gas cans - you have to leave to the experts.

Funny story on trip to WV a couple years ago. I stopped to fill up the bike near Harrisburg , PA. Was a young lady at pump across from mine who got out of her Golf and she started fiddling with the pump and handle. She kept taking the handle out and putting back and looked about to cry. I asked her if she needed help. She said, 'yes'. She did know how to fill the tank. I asked, 'from New Jersey?' She said, 'yes'.

Turns out she was headed off to college and never had to pump her own gas. I gave her a quick lesson and went on my way.

Jealousy will get you nowhere... I absolutely love not having to pump my own gas. No smelly hands, no dealing with foul weather. Its cheaper than most of you pay too!

However, On a motorcycle I have yet to have any fuel attendent not just hand the nozzle to me. They honestly want nothing to do with fueling up bikes.

Its really the best of both worlds here in NJ when it comes to gas vs the other states.

Yes, the motorcycle issue was put to bed several years ago, but I don't mind having someone else fill my truck's tank. Keeps the high prices employing folks - WA, which has no attendants has gas prices as high as ours, and CA is HIGHER...

But then, we have no toll roads, no toll bridges - do have three toll ferries in the state - and no annual inspection sticker required by people that know nothing about bikes....

New Jersey is the same, you cannot pump your own gas, but whenever I am in NJ they always let me pump my own gas when on the :ani29:. Have not ridden into Oregon yet, but having owned a house there for 10 years you cannot pump your own gas into a car. Don't know, but maybe they mirror NJ when it comes to motorcycles.
