from the article:
The most unique thing about Mr. Bachman’s collection is that all the Ferraris in his garage are the very last production numbers of the models. His explanation for this is: “I think the final production car is the one that best exemplifies the series. It also seems like a nice trend for the collection. For instance, I purchased the last 512 BBi produced which is red, by the way, when it became available.”

Never understood the fascination with Ferrari. Twice over the years, lowly Ford, the producer of family cars and pickup trucks, has picked up the gauntlet and gone to bat with them. And twice handed Enzo his you know what. Just don't get the need to pontificate about a brand that is so easily beaten by another car company that does not even build cars or compete in that segment on a regular basis. Sure they are pretty and all but never saw the need to own one.

Of course the guys on ferrarichat.com don't see eye to eye with me.....:)

I couldn't care less about their racing heritage...

... I just think that they're pretty, impractical,and they're fast; what more do you need? :dontknow:

(Kind of like women... :D)

The only motorized toys that I don't like, are made by Arctic Cat...
It's a deep-seated hatred that goes back to when they bought Scorpion in about 1979...
They went bankrupt;
but came back...
And left Scoripion for dead! :gaah:

They couldn't beat them on the track; so they bought and killed them... :sour:
