Really like the 2014 RTS now that the Elkas are installed. Do miss the frunk button. Now to build up to the 40+ mpg folks are talking about.

just some constant checking for about 5,000 miles and you should be there. You will still be smiling till you get there and hopefully won't distract you from the real joy of this ryde...:ohyea::ohyea:

I found the 40 mpg when I got to the third tank or so. Now its pretty much 40 mpg every tank. 6500 miles and counting.

How are your front tires holding up?

For me it was around the 2000 mile mark before I hit the 40. Your milage may very, but it will come:yes:

I started seeing 40 mpg at about 1,000 miles.
But; I've always been pretty darn close to it! :D

I have 2700 miles and have only seen 40 mpg once, my last tank, which was a long highway run in a group was 36.2. Im not complaining, just voicing in. By the way, to install your own electric trunk release is easy and cheap, I did mine for under $20 using a door lock actuator and a momentary contact switch.

Run it in eco mode, shift early, and keep your speeds down and you'll do it.

So far, both front and rear tires are looking good. I am thinking at least 10K on the rear, the fronts still look new. Hoping for the usual 20K plus on them.

40 mpg...I think for us it would require the stars to align and something broken in the twist grip to limit rotation.

Maybe the cat bypass will pay for itself in saved fuel.

First mileage on the 2014 RT was around 32-34 mpg.......then by the time I was near 1500 miles it was near 40 mpg! Hit 40+ mpg by the time we were at 2000 miles....

I just keep smilin' when rydin' the 2014 RT Limited :D :D-:D - it's an AWESOME machine...the mileage is a bonus, the machine is smooth, quiet, lower rpm, etc......did I mention it is AWESOME! :D Now we have 8000 trouble free miles on it....just great! Only issue: rear tire life. Just replaced our rear tire. You probably have seen that posted on the forum. Not a big issue, just an inconvenience.
