looks like things went well. Best spring tool is some nylon twine slipped on the hook end of the spring, taking both ends and wrapping it around the handle of your choice (screwdriver, broom handle, wrench etc) never fails. Should sound good....congrats..:2thumbs:

Great idea, why didn't I think of this!!! Or, I'm thinkin a zip tie, size of your choice, could do it as well. Thanks!

i started it and it is much louder with the stock can. we had to find another spring to get on the top because it was almost impossible to get that top :cus: in. bob i don't think your misses would like the sound as a passenger. i am going up to Ron's on Sunday morning to have the shocks re-done and to get a oil change. i will be there around 8 to 830

I used an automotive headlight spring removal tool to get third spring, it is thin enough to fit in.

Is it a question of the strenght of the Spring, or it's inaccessability? :dontknow:
From my sledding days; I ALWAYS keep a spring puller in the arsenal! :2thumbs:

Both. The spring is strong and its on the top side where its not much room for the hand. If you have a lift its much easier to get some leverage, and strong muscles are a plus.

I watched and "helped" by holding a flashlight while the tech did mine up on a lift. Several times the spring slipped as he didn't have a puller and popped back underneath somewhere and had to be fished out.

Great job John! Hope you like the extra sound. I'm heading up to New Paltz tomorrow to have rear tire changed. See you out at oak beach sometime.

we couldn't get the top spring on so we found a lil softer spring and installed that, i am just getting home from ron's and have not measured the hight of the front end yet, but side to side the shocks that he removed and almost a inch shorter than the new ones they sent me, and the ride height does seem higher
