Yesterday I installed the used Elka 1+R shocks I had purchased on this forum. An easy job as I already had the frunk off. Yes, I do have the springs at the bottom.
I do have a question though:
Do the gas nipples on the side of the shocks at the top, point up or down, or doesn't it matter?
TIA

The Springs are on the bottom on these babies... That little knob for rebound adjustment should be right where you can easily access it.
And it DOES matter how you mount them!

Yes, the springs & little knob are on the bottom.
But what about the gas valve that's screwed into the side at the top? Pointing up or pointing down?

OK, phoned Elka.
Doesn't matter if it points up or down.
It is important not to fiddle with it, as that is where they introduce the pressurized nitrogen.

:dontknow: That's where you would add a remote reservoir... :dontknow:
I don't know if that is critical; why not check with Trooper about it?
