I've been watching for some sort of official press release; I don't see it in your link.
I'd like to see the bike make it here. A bit of competition is always good for the breed!

Gene's Gallery in Springfield MO and Reggy from tricled.com (tricwing.com) have been importing the kits since the beginning of the year.

Since I got the Spyder, those just don't have the appeal they once had for me. They are a good looking trike. but you still have little to no factory support and the company that makes them is in Holland. I realize BRP doesn't have the best reputation for supporting us, but at least I can find a dealer and have some chance of getting the bike fixed.

:agree: If it seems tough trying to get service from Canada; can you imagine trying to get it while speaking Dutch?
How do you translate, ":gaah::cus::banghead::cus::gaah::cus:" anyway?? :D

Yah, but a lot of Honda dealers won't touch a trike. Since it's been modified, they are under no obligation to fix it.

But maybe it'll light a candle under the "Big H's" Mothership... :2thumbs:

Hi Steve,

Re: Yah, but a lot of Honda dealers won't touch a trike. Since it's been modified, they are under no obligation to fix it.

We all have our opinions. IMO it is still a Honda, and there are a LOT of independent shops that will work on it.

The only 'Dutch' parts are those that have been changed out. The vast majority of the parts are still Honda parts.

Possibly Jerry, but I'm happy enough with the Spyder for now. With 6 or 7 years of development I think it's coming nicely. But if you want one, have at it, and let me know how you like it. Like I said, it is a good looking trike.

A similar subject. The latest issue of Rider Magazine shows a Triumph Rocket Three/Motor Trike brand trike model that will now be sold through Triumph dealers. It will come with a full factory warranty and has reverse. It is in the middle of the magazine and is a two page spread. It looks a bit old school and beautiful.

Wrong kind of trike/but at least this one will have dealer support.

It's also being strongly advertised on MotorTrike's site...

To change the subject somewhat, though staying in the thread, how is it easier to write "-N-" instead of "in" in the title?

Just, y'know, curious.

I would expect private m/c repair shops that work on honda's repair most of the bike if there were a problem, but without warranty it will cost $$$$$$
Glad i have a :spyder2: :yes::yes::clap:

With over 100K flawless miles on my two-wheel Gold Wing GL1800, I'm a big believer in the bike. That said, these have no assisted steering, no stability or traction control (you may consider that a good or bad thing), 6 US dealers (at my count on their website), and only a handful will be imported for the year (was it 100 or so?). I already discarded my June issue of Wing World so I'm working from memory but it was also big bucks. And heavy -- 1109 pounds on their website. Certainly will be interesting to follow and it may turn out to be great. For those that can afford it and want exclusivity. Think I'll watch from the sidelines.

What makes this new? Saw them before and the importer said they weren't ready for prime time

Yah, but a lot of Honda dealers won't touch a trike. Since it's been modified, they are under no obligation to fix it.

A lot of Honda dealers convert Goldwings to trike so they can sell them and support them. Russellville Honda is one of the dealers that convert to trikes. Then there is my local Honda dealer who can't manage to fix a flat tire without damaging your bike.
