We found out this morning that our good friend and MOgang member Dick Riedel has passed away in his sleep last night. He would have been here this weekend for the meeting. Dick has left his mark in my heart as a servant and one who loved life and lived it to the fullest. I miss you already Bro

Sorry to learn of this loss, losing a friend is never easy.
Passing in ones sleep is likely the most peaceful way to give up the ghost.

I hope you are feeling better soon, prayers for his family and associates.

And fellow Spyder Ryder . 2 years ago after Spyderfest Dick and I travelled several 1000 miles together ryding our Spyders. He was the living example of who a Christian Is. Compassionate, he went on several mission trips with Compassion Intl., we who ryde and love attending Spyderfest would have benefited from his love of giving his best to whatever needed done.
in my sadness, for loss of a friend, I truly can celebrate because I know Dick is "living it up" in heaven...his forever HOME.
Dick taught me that you NEVER leave a fellow Ryder. My Spyder broke down in TN..it was a fri nite and help not happening until Tuesday. Encouraged Dick to go on ahead..assuring him that I would be just fine. In a firm tone I got the serious side of Dick. Nice very nice. But a clear HELL NO..
He and I shared love of Sudoku. Last winter when couldn't ryde..here comes a pkg. a 3d sudoku....he laughed so when I called to thank him...when I told him that he BESTED me I was going to have to start using a pencil. He said often that I wasn't "quite right" cause I used pen..
Dick Reidel the world is a better place because of you. You will be sorely missed. Tell the "Big Guy" hi for me..

that you meet in life and remember. Dick didn't care if he knew you or not, he always had his infectious smile and willingness to help anyone do anything they needed done. There will be a void at Spyderfest and MoGang gatherings without Dick. If I can be only a small amount of the person Dick was, I will consider myself to be successful in life.

Prayers and positive thoughts to Dick's family and Spyder family.

I met Dick at SF 2013. We kinda hit it off right away. He was on the Vets Ride that year, I think as a sweeper(?). We talked quite a bit over the next couple of days about military service, his missions and of course Spyders. He was truly a nice guy and a gentleman. I know he will be missed, especially by the MoGang, and we who've had the pleasure of meeting him. There will be a void at SF 2015. Now he is again joined with Marna to celebrate life eternal.

Aww. 😥 I'm sorry to hear this, terrible news. When my wife and I met Dick at Lamont's in 2012, he had sensed her nervousness, being with a new group of people, and completely out of her element, and really made it his mission to make her feel welcomed and comfortable. I'll forever be grateful. My condolences to Dicks family, the MoGang, and to everyone that called Dick a friend. God speed, Bro. Rest in peace.

Even though his time among us on Earth has come to an end, from the comments, his Infectious Spirit lives on in all who crossed his path. Although I was never blessed in meeting Richard, I wanted to share a simple image a friend sent to me and my wife during our time of loss. It brought us a sense of peace and understanding. May you Rest in Peace in HIS loving embrace.

Hubby and I got to know Dick at FlamingoBabe and HotGlue's BBQ. The three of us had a long lunch down in Galveston. He taught us how to live life to the fullest and don't let the small stuff get you down, no matter how big it is.

Thank you Dick for touching out lives. You will never be forgotten...

I met Dick prior to Lamont's picnic in 2012. We were staying at the same hotel. He came out one morning and saw me wiping my Spyder off. He came over, introduced himself and brought his bottle of cleaner and started helping. Then every time he saw me at other Spyder events he made it a point to come and say hi. He always made me feel welcome!

Dick was one of the most welcoming, caring people I've ever met. He put you instantly at ease with his twinkling eyes (always with a little mischievousness in them) and grin. He always made me laugh. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and to our Spyder family. We lost a good one this week, but I know he's as free and happy now as anyone could want to be. We love you, Dick!
