Looks like I'll be joining the ryders this weekend. Here she is...not home yet.

A little about me. I'm 32, I work in Quality Assurance, and live in Greensboro, NC. This is a birthday present to myself.

I've ridden a couple of Ninjas (here and there) and done a little quad riding, but never had anything new or this nice. I probably went a little overboard with the ST-Limited, but after considering all of the stuff that I'd probably end up buying separately (especially the radio and the saddlebags), it made sense. I also got a pretty good deal on it. The Chrome wheels are coming off though. I'm buying some other wheels because it's literally the only thing that I don't like.

I always loved the idea of the Spyders, since the original announcement of the GS, but I thought that the bug-eyed RS/GS headlight style was underwhelming for such a relatively expensive machine, plus the riding position was too aggressive for me. Still really cool, but just not "rich" looking for the $$$s. The RT was way too "grown-up" for a hooligan at heart (me).

So I'd let the infatuation coast and dwindle. On a total whim, after not riding powersport anything for a few years, I just happened to look and see that the ST exists. I LOVE THIS THING. It's gorgeous. It's comfortable.

Now what toys to add?

Wish me luck!

Thanks! I gotta get up on this terminology, farkles and frunks, and y's for i's...oh my. My finances have stretched "style" in the past. Single guy - the cat doesn't fuss when I come home with new toys.

Thanks! I hadn't thought about selling them. I don't even know what they're worth.

Some on here would suggest you should go to work for BRP
They need a good Quality assurance person:roflblack:
Have a great time and be safe

I understand you completely. I'm 33 years old and I was 31 when I bought my RSS. I shared your thoughts on the GS and the RT. Can Am is slowly bringing us younger riders into the market every year with each change. I hope they continue that path. Congrats on your spyder and I love that color!

Congrats on the sweet ride I have a 2013 STL and I found it quite necessary to add the Baja Ron sway bar it will make your Spyder corner like it's on rails I added the BRP passenger backrest that works nice to attach a sissy bar bag for longer trips I also bought a larger wind screen for a little more wind protection.
you are going to love your new STL

Quality Assurance at BRP....It could be loads of fun. The full-on automotive companies = not fun. I am not sure what you do yet, but I'd like to stay 20 at heart.

You need more videos of that Spyder. Totally bad. Looks like $1000 worth of lights.

It's getting laser aligned at the dealership before I take delivery (thanks forum). The sway bar and links are on my list, as well as the spyderpops skid plate, and then I'll start in on my Kratos/Knight Rider-esque setup. I won't be testing the handling just yet, but that's great advice for a Newb.

Congrats on the new ryde. I am a newbie myself just getting my RS at the end of March. Do yourself a favor and read the do's and don'ts on the home page, if you haven't already. They have saved my butt more than once already.:opps:Ryde safe and long.

Thanks for the hospitality.

Just ordered the Bajaron swaybar.

Now let's see if I can go a whole week without buying something else for it.
