That's a great deal on a ZUMO.... I purchased mine from the factory and still this price beats it by 250.00. Heard Garmin was reducing all GPS prices. Check out other spderlovers on installation pics. I directly wired mine to the battery. Some say that will be trouble, since it can drain the battery if left on.... I have to be careful.

I installed my 450 before leaving for Gatlinburg. The GPS shuts off when you turn your key off (wired into my headlights) so I don't see it draining the battery any more than an alarm system.

GPS devices no longer actually turn off though. They sleep. That's why newer GPSs establish sync much quicker.

So far I love it. I don't know how I would have made it here without it. I was able to tell it to avoid interstates so I had the most beautiful back-road ride down here.

That's a pretty decent price for the 450. Pretty sure they are clearing inventory on them. I hear the 550 will be the 'entry level' zumo very soon and that a new model will come out in the spring.

I got the 550 in order to also have the Bluetooth.

I love the zumo. I do the same thing - tell it to avoid highways - and it makes for some great backroad tours!
