I took the Spyder over to my moms house which is 7 miles away...some how it took me 14 miles to get home! Not sure what BRP was thinking when they built these machines! But I like it!

I know what you mean. My Spyder is definitely unable to take shortcuts. No matter what I do, we end up taking the long cut (as my girls would say.) Got to be an engineering defect or something. ;)

Going someplace for absolutely no reason happens to me a lot!

When I had the 2014 RT I made the mistake of filling up the tank on my way to work (90 miles round trip) on a really nice day, and had to fill up the tank again when I got home. Every time I tried to make a turn towards home the bike went straight.

I think I went 5 places today, 2 because I had to, and 3 because I could. Point is, get out & ride as much as you can, as often as you can. The wife puts together at least 1 local (CT) trip per week that may take 8 hours. But t'is always fun! Go for it - ride every day somewhere, even just to get a doughnut. HAVE fun!!

Your Spyder certainly makes it home faster than mine does. I don't know what you are complaining about.

I took a six hour shortcut last time I made the trip from Santa Ynez to Los Angeles - who knew there were so many canyons one could find an excuse to ride.

knows the way home but has those moments..but alls well that ends well. My wife has learned...if she wants something done fast she tell me to take the car..:roflblack:

I know what you mean. I've discovered parts of my town and my county I hadn't been to in years!

:D Ain't it great?? :D
These machines are able to manipulate time and space; making us late for every unimportant task!

Spyders are known to kill time and make destinations further out!:firstplace:

They're even pretty darn good at finding the best ice-cream, pizza, or coffee shops that are the furthest away from home! :2thumbs:
