View Full Version : Anyone notice the "staggered shutter pattern" on the RS headlights?

It kind of drives me crazy. The beam pattern is not a true horizontal line when the shutters are closed on low beams. It's like a jagged "stepped pattern" that occurs on both headlights. My original headlights had it, and now that I've installed the BRP Hid's, it has the exact same pattern. It must be with all spyders, since two completely different lighting systems have it.

The pattern opens up wide (great) on hi beams.

Do you all know what u mean?

Thanks.

It's that way to not to blind oncoming drivers.

Yep, totally normal. That step up is to light up the right side of the road so you can see signs better, and possibly the elusive deer, or other animal, that may be waiting to jump out in front of you.
