I now have about 500 miles on my 2014 RTS. I do not remember seeing the oil light come on when I turned the ignition key to "On", but didn't start it, when I first took possession of the the bike. I now notice that it is on until I start it up and it immediately disappears. Was I just not seeing the light when I first got the bike or is it now on (not flashing) for a reason? In cars, they ore often on just until the vehicle is started. Hopefully it's the same for the Spyder.

Or if it stays on for more than a few seconds after you start it.

and the threshold for the light is a ridiculously low 4-6 lbs.

Thanks to all! Now I can sleep well through the next 50,000 miles!

I have a 2014 Nissan Rogue. It doesn't have any kind of an oil pressure indicator. It instead has a computer function that gives you a warning if you have lost pressure. If there is no problem, there is no warning or indicator of any kind.
