My wife and I are new with having the luxury of helmet communication systems. Will the SENA headsets handle a day of rain if on a day trip.....Thanks

Yes it will. I've ridden in thunderstorms with mine with no issues at all

Same here rode in the rain twice with mine and no issues. I do love the Bell helmet that is built for the SMH-10's.

Just make doubly sure the rubber charging port cover is closed. They sometimes will appear fully seated when they are not.

Rode several times in rain, some very heavy. No issues with our SENA headsets. In heavy downpours, we pull over and go inside a quick stop area, i.e. gas station or fast food and take our helmets in with us.

:agree: That's just about the one thing that you need to make sure of, before heading out into the monsoons!

all helmet sets are waterproof. There may be dome cheap units out there that are not but most stay away from them. Sena and scala seem to have the market and both are fully waterproof. (as long as you replace the rubber caps where applicable)...:lecturef_smilie:

I really like the fighter pilot sun shield and the full face shield when they are needed. First helmet that I've had in the last couple of decades that was comfortable to wear. Took me a few miles to get used to not wearing sun glasses.

Previous posters have you covered. No problem with our Sena headsets in the rain either.

Yes they can certainly handle the rain. If you want to ryde at all in Alberta you will get wet at some point.

They handle the rain for us.
