We will never forget……..

2pm —–Fun Run (pay as you go)

This event is for the rider or passenger that wants to have all the excitement of real side by side racing without tearing up your Spyder. (Pay your own way) less than 50 people is $6.50 per driver/race, more than 50 people is $4.50 per driver/race. Don’t worry if it rains, there is an indoor track on site.

530-930pm—– Opening Ceremony in the Ballroom at GEL ($22 per person)

Come gather for an opening ceremony like no other that offers you the ambiance of a rustically-elegant Lodge and the spaciousness of a 4800 square foot Mohican Ballroom. Here we will enjoy a banquet style dining, opening ceremony, dancing and Karaoke!!!! Each time anyone sings, they will be given a raffle ticket. That raffle ticket will be picked at closing ceremony on Saturday for a fantastic prize. The more you sing, the better you chances of winning. You don’t have to be good, you just have to do it !!!!!!!!!! Lets have some fun !!!!!!!!! (Cash bar on hand so please use cabs if you’re staying off site). Cab numbers listed in “Need to know” section of website. This event will break the ice and allow you to mingle with your fellow Spyder rider friends of the past and good friends of the future. Any unique Karaoke song requests can be made anonymously at Spyderquest2014@gmail.com (Spyderquest2014@gmail.com). We will try our best to get them and show the world SpyderQuest rocks!!!!!

I see that Americade is offering a trip to the Can Am factory. Any chance of that happening with SpyderQuest? I know many would be interested. Secondly, I tried to book an extra (early) night witht the host hotel (GEL) and was told they are not booking any rooms on Sept. 10 as they will be closed. Saiid they were opening up for Spyderquest on Thursday. If that is true, how can we register on Wednesday and how will vendors be there if they are not open?

Just got off the phone and they are open..... Call them back and give them the promo code and if you have any problems ask to speak to Steve Kriebial directly. The person you spoke with was speaking of the waterpark that will be closed on Wen, not the hotel. The waterpark will open on Thursday-Saturday for us.

Check out the event and ride itinerary on the website, there is a good description of everything as well as links for further info. Some thing have limits and that is spelled out as well for various reasons. Pre-registration ends 8/2/14, at this time the tee shirt order will go in. This will also give us time to adjust volunteer personal to accommodate everyone of which we all are.

How about we do this.......... If you register for the event soon (1 week), I will guarentee you a slot for any riding event that you want to go on two weeks prior to Spyderquest so you will know for sure the rides you able to do. This is for you, and only you and obviously, we couldn't do this for all since we need to know how many would be in a particular ride (we are all volunteers, please understand). You email me at Spyderquest2014@gmail.com within 3 days and I'll make sure you are taking care of !!!!!!!

Next question -

The opening ceremony & dinner is is the lodge's "rustically elegant" ballroom. The dinner cruise is "luxurious."

Is fancy-dress recommended?

I'm one of the volunteers' at this event.
There best not be a need for fancy duds, as I don't own any.
Every day street clothes worked last year, so that should work this year also.

Good morning from Texas! I'm considering SpyderQuest, but am hoping you can provide a bit of perspective. This would be a 1,800 mile journey to get there, and as this is the first year I've had a Spyder and would be the first event I've gone to, I'd like to get your opinion!

Given the distance, would you say this would be an amazing event that you would travel that distance to participate? Is the scenery of the rides and experience truly incredible? And is there enough things to do, etc. that it would be worth driving 4-5 days total for a 2 day event?

On the map it's only like 6 inches away, but I know that six inches gets really long when I'm 5 hours in the saddle!

Thanks, and hope to hear some compelling thoughts that takes away any doubts!!

PS - Any other riders heading that direction between Texas and NY... long drive to be solo!!

PS - Any other riders heading that direction between Texas and NY... long drive to be solo!![/QUOTE
:thumbup:You are a ryder after my heart. Of course the event will be great. Many different rides scheduled and the scenery is unmatched! The Adirondacks of NY and the Green Mountains of Vt. are superurb! A bit of history of the US is included. I realize it is a long long ride to get here, but from the 2013 comments, it is well worth the trip. Where else can you go and be with fellow enthusiasts, with BBQs a dinner cruise on the Queen of Lakes in NY...love to have you ride safe and see you there. :2thumbs:

NoLmtz,

You will not be disappointed. We did it last year and we cannot wait until September. I wish my wife and I had the time off to get to some of the other events going on because Spyderquest was so much fun last year that we wish we could do them all. Randy, Ron and the rest of the NY Spyder Riders put on a great event. The Adirondack region is one of the most beautiful places around as well. You will love the roads, lots of curves and the scenery is breathtaking.

I'm thinking of foregoing Spyderquest after all. Don't worry, won't ask for money back, but I'm still just deciding. I may be because I've been traveling so much the last week affecting how I feel right now. But I'm also thinking I could use the money to farkle while I'm here at BRP-OE.

OK. I said I'd come, and sent in my registration. Then I got toward the end of 2 weeks ryding in Colorado and thought I'd just stay home. Now I've been home a week and I'm ready to go again.

So, I'll be there and I have a room at GEL!

So, please don't throw away my registration!!

It just dawned on me that nowhere is it mentioned about one of the most popular places of any rally is not mentioned ICE CREAM. I Googled ice cream parlors Lake George N.Y. I got a list of 22. The thing in that area seems to be flavored Soft Serve. Any experts in that area have any suggestions? Priorities you know. :D

Wondering, will there be any vendors there with custom seats or back rest for the RT's? Will there be any demo rides available? Have a couple of people coming with us that are slowly moving in the direction of switching from 2 wheels to a spyder. Vendors offering highway pegs that can be installed on site?

Getting excited for for some great rides.:D
