Since I no longer need a shift pad (SE6) and summers coming on, anybody have a recommendation for a good / ventilated /waterproof boot that could be worn on the bike and also off the bike so I could only carry one pair of shoes when I go touring. It would save on space

I wear Cruiserworks Classic boots. 100% waterproof and great customer service . They don't look dorky if going to dinner, shopping , etc. Have had mine probably 12 years and resoled once.

My boots (1st photo): Milwaukee Motorcycle Clothing Co. Mens Road Captain Leather Boots - MB43318
My wife's boots (2nd photo): Milwaukee Motorcycle Clothing Co. Womens Afterburner Boots

Have had these boots about 2 years...extremely comfortable from day 1. Easy to put on - one side zipper... They almost look new yet and are wearing well.

Good luck with your selection!

I wear a pair of nacona cowboy boots. I might as well be comfortable. Thats what i would wear to work anyway and I have to wear shoes over the ankle when I ride or they won't let me in the facility. I also must wear reflective clothing and long sleeves, I would anyway but it is mandated.

The wife and I have these. I like them because they zip on and off. After a long day riding the last thing I wanna do is mess with buckles or laces.

pretty much any study lace on shoe or ankle boot. Seeing as the ryding style is such that you are not going to put your down next to hot pipes, your not going to ryde the underbrush, you won't be dragging your feet you just need a good shoe. No sandals, flip flops, strappies etc...its what I do and I drive manual...:hun:

I wear a pair like these. You get a lot of water/weather protection, so these kinds of boots are waterproof enough. They are good enough to wear with jeans to khakis.

Combat boots from military but we are looking for some light weight alternatives too, shouldn't need heavy boots for Spyders. We have been using tennyrunners too and keeps feet nice and cool.

The ones I have were close outs from Motorcycle Superstore a couple of years ago. I can't recall the brand, but the are virtually identical to the Alpinestars below. The ones I bought were like $69 close out and were so comfortable that I bought a second pair and put them in storage. They are as comfy as any tennis shoes I have.

These lined Clarks GTX boots are Goretex protected and as soft as a Neil Armstrong touch down. I have worn them every day on a 15-day Spyder tour and they were comfortable right out of the box. I can't say that about most of the footwear I've bought.

This is what I use I got them at Cycle Gear, I went in and tried on everything they had that
I thought would be good and here they are... they are like having on house slippers super comfortable
and on sale they are only $59.95 regular $149.95 even if you had to pay full price they are worth it.
Go to Cycle Gear and check them out. Be advised they are in foreign size so be sure to try them on
my shoe size is a 10 1/2 B the boots here are a size 22 but there is a tag that says USA size 13, I could put
both feet into a size 13... so try them on.
They are great

I wear heavy duty boots. The saved my feet when I went down. I ruined $150 boots, but my feet were ok. Since I don't know when and if I will go crash again, this is what I do. If I only knew when I was going to crash, I could dispense with all the ATGATT junk--but I failed Clairvoyance 101 in college.

This is why: happened in 1994: six month old boots. Feet NOT injured in any way.
