Does anyone know where I can buy more of the rubber gromets that hold the body panels on? Haven't had any problems (knock on wood) with the ones I have but would like to have some on hand if needed...... Thanks!!

You might be able to find them at a really good hardware store but the easiest place would be from your dealer.

A year ago, I had real problems keeping the grommets on the bike. So, I bought a couple and placed them in the glove box. No problems since. Peace of mind is perfect.;)

Value accessory a sponsor here sells a complete grommet kit. Good price too!
I love those folks and buy everything I can from them.

I have used cable ties on the grommets on the bike that hold the panels. Cable tie each grommet to the bike frame when you remove a panel to work on your bike. That way the grommet stays in place better. The grommet stays in place even if you happen to pushed it out when replacing the panel, it's still right there and you can put it back. My first experience with this was my first panel removal on my 2012 RT L and I saw a grommet on my garage floor :yikes:....problem solved with cable ties - photo attached.
Good luck with all your farkles:yes::yes::yes:..... http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/images/misc/paperclip.png Attached Thumbnails http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86486&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1397573723 (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86486&d=1397573723)

Do you have the part number or item number? I was looking at the diagrams and couldn't figure it out.

If memory serves, I believe there was a SB on this awhile back. I think this is a Dealer Action Item and is a "freebie".

That is correct. It's a metal bracket that helps retain the grommets. My 2011 RTS did not have them and my dealer added them on my 600 mile service. However even with that, I have seen 2 people now (2103's) still loose the left side panel probably due to improper installation. There have been several posts about making a security cable so if the panel does come off it stays with the Spyder.

While riding my '14 RT Limited home on the highway today my left side panel blew off and was promptly crushed by the car in the lane left of me,
WTF? After getting home I checked the 3 rubber grommets they were in place and not puckered. Something tells me it's going to be expensive tomorrow at my local Can-Am dealer. Can anybody share with me a good way to keep this from happening again less using Timber Locks? LOL
