Electronic Brake not releasing????

Has anybody had their electronic parking not disengage? Start bike and it will not disengage when pedal is pressed and button is pushed???:mad::bdh:

The cable slipping off the pulley seems to be the culprit. Thanks RR.

If you have a 2013 and have not had the recall work done it could be stuck on due to the cable melting. That is what mine did - twice.

happened to me today went in for fuel and went to stop and handbrake applied,pushed the button and it released 20 miles down the road it applied when I stopped at a stopsign and would not release this time had to disconnect the cable at the rear caliper.Just had to loosen nut on cable and slide it off, by the time I got home it had released but now wont apply.Checked all fuses and relays and they were fine think it is a module, hope is covered by best.The module controlling hand brake is windshield module and not covered by best. It did flash across the screen ebd fault but have no codes.
