We had our first official ride of the season - 13 Spyders on a rainy cool day we went about 150 miles round trip for a great lunch in the town of Duelm, Minnesota. Rain stopped just before we left Caswell's and the roads dried up with temp getting up to 60f degrees. It was fun to catch up with everyone after a very long winter and we welcomed some new faces. We found out that one our member that's always been a passenger got her permit the other day so we really had a good reason to celebrate at our lunch.

Here are a few photos from our ride:

Nice panoramic photo of our group getting ready ride out of Caswell Cycle. We sort of take over the parking lot on our ride days!

Best shot I could get while riding...it was still raining a little bit when we left so I did mount my Drift camera. I'm getting pretty good a taking shots with my iPod...but it gets a bit chilly without a glove on for a bit!

Here are at our lunch stop...of course everyone has to look over all the spyders and who did what to there's since last year. It takes us a while to actually get into the restaurant...I think we need a day just to sit and look at all the spyder and chat too. Hmmm...may have to talk to Les about adding in some time to do that on one of our next rides!

What a great group of people to ride with....they didn't care what the weather was like...just layered up and plugged in the heated gear and off we went! Hope to see more you Minnesota Spyderlovers at our next ride in May!

I did get a photo of the 2 - 3 foot snow drifts that are still hanging on in the shade of tree lines....but at least they are melting!

We all want to ryde!:yes::yes: Especially those of us in the north where it's been a LONG winter (far too long). :gaah::gaah::gaah:

We are getting some snow, but a lot of rain too where we live. We are the lucky ones as our friends to the north are experiencing upward of 12-16" of this :cus: white stuff! :banghead::banghead:

Anyways, we (Jim & Teresa) want to say "hello" to the Minnesota Spyderlovers as we joined recently and did not get to the ryde this last weekend. We hope to join you for future rydes ! Thanks for posting the pics!

Lucy says it better (about our snow) than I can:

Some double-digit snow totals on this April 16th:
North Branch - 15.1"
Big Lake - 14.5"
Litchfield - 14.0"
Mora - 12.0"...
