Got to change a belt on a Spyder today. It went much better than I thought it would. I did the belt alinement and somehow got it right the first time. :2thumbs::spyder::doorag:

Don't you work??!!!! :cheers:roflmao

But, since we're on the subject of belt replacement; how many miles did the affected Spyder have on it?

A buddy of mine has a rock hole in the belt on his Buell - a small one. And, he is just keeping an eye on it. It hasn't gotten any bigger. So, he's carrying on.

Man what a ride home. I rained so hard all the way home. The roads were flooded most of the way. Lamonster, thanks so much for the help with the belt everything still looks good after to 60 mile ride home. We had to stop a couple times to dump water out of my boots. I have learned my lesson and will get me a rain suit tomarrow for such occasions. Thanks again for the help. .

It wasn't a big hole but this guys has some bad luck so he wanted to change it now before it got bad. It may be fine.

Anyone really know the expected time to replace the belt?
Normal wear and tear./....rocks etc damage doesn't count.

Thanks..
