I thought that if you restarted the Spyder within like 15 minutes of shutting it down it would bypass that? Mine (2013 RS-S) doesn't. I took my skills test at the DMV the other day and between each part they asked me to shut the Spyder down so we could talk. Every time I turned the key back on it would make me do it again. Just curious.

Never timed it but I think it is less than 5 minutes.

In that scenario, you could use the Kill Switch and leave the key ON, then restart with no delay.
EXCEPT for the amount of time it takes you to remember to reset the Kill Switch! :gaah:

I am going to have to try this one. There have several times where off for a couple minutes then back, with the delay of course.
thanks

I have never timed it, but am guessing its a couple minutes or less. If I am getting gas, I can usually restart without the press mode function kicking in.

Don't feel bad. If it was info from the dealer--it turns out that quite a few are not well informed about the finer points of our beloved :spyder2: :roflblack:
