I had the RT BACKREST. installed. I ave noticed that it is difficult to put on or take off. Also when I put it on it wrinkles the leather around the mount. Is this normal.

I don't have one yet but my understanding is that if it wrinkles the seat and is hard to get in and out then you have the wrong one. They make one for the stock seat and one for the "Comfort" seat (even though they refer to the stock seat as a comfort seat it is not "The Comfort" seat.)

It sounds like you may have received the wrong part. Seems easy to happen with 8 separate units out there.

Appreciate tee your input. I saw the same experience when the dealer installed the mounting bracket backwards on one. once they reversed the bracket to correct position the seat wrinkling went away
