Axle covers inside of front wheels

These don't seem to be attached in any way.only seem to stay there through maybe magnetism......is this right or should they be secured by some screw action or something else

They just snap in.

Well the wheel did not come off but the AXEL CAP did on my way home after purchase. Put on new cap and 2850 miles later it is still on. These rattle a little because of the loose fit.
