Clutch / brake fluid?

Is the clutch and brake fluid "standard" DOT 4, or synthetic?

All brake fluids are synthetic since they are not petroleum based. They just have some manufacturing differences and different moisture absorption levels. DOT 4 has a lower MA than DOT 3. Dot 3,4 and 5.1 are glycol based. DOT 5 is silicon based. Biggest thing is don't mix fluids and change them as directed.

You will probably only be able to find the dot3-4 fluid. That is ok for either 3 or 4. It's just backward compatible with 3.
The main thing is don't mix 3-4 with 5.

Soooo...I need to buy some brake fluid. Do I have to buy BRP or is a particular one from Autozone ok?

Any dot 3 or dot 4 fluid is perfectly fine.
