Is it in your bloodline ???? Do you relate ????

That crazy little kid waving off the back was me. It was 1982.
Thanks Dad for giving me the courage to throw a leg over. Feel free to share your bloodline photos and experiences.

I can't find the picture. It was in my mother's albums when I was young, but many of her albums went astray when she died. The pic was of one year old me sitting between my mom and dad on the chummy seat, just back from a ride. When I was ten and I learned to ride a Cushman scooter, my mom complained. I pulled out the picture and said "It's your fault." Dad laughed. When I was 14, got my scooter license, and bought myself a Whizzer, mom complained. I pulled out the picture again. Same story when I bought the Mustang scooter at 15, the Triumph 650 at 16, and on and on. I always pulled the picture and blamed it on her. My dad always laughed. Yes, it is in our blood...and if we are lucky our parents got us started. Thanks, Mom!

Equally important, are you passing it forward? I took my daughters riding at a young age and they're both motorcycle owners today.

I've been looking for the picture of my Dad and his 1935 Indian Chief.

My mother rode Indian motorcycles when she was young. Lighter bikes as she grew older. My first real bike was honda cl 350. She drove it around the block and I can still see her shaking her head as she rounded the corner. She got up to me and said all you got here is a toy boy.

I started out on a friend's Honda 50. He also had a Honda Super 90. That Honda 50 was a blast riding it all over Atlanta, GA.

My parents wouldn't allow me to have a motorcycle growing up. My Dad sold Life Insurance for a living. :banghead:

This one is from 1978. A buddy and I decided to go from Ohio to Canada in late November. It was an exciting trip and we hit some snow and icy patches but all in all enjoyed it.

My ride then was a '78 Suzuki GS 1000 dressed out with Vindicator fairing and bags. Note the Hippo hands, custom front fender and one of my first attempts at striping.

Great pictures. I note all have big smiles. I can't share any early pictures, the 60's and 70's albums are missing. :( They were good times though.

That's what happened to my pictures. My ex decided I didn't need them.
