Do's and don'ts for 2014 Spyder

I have a 2012 RT/S and the thread that has shown up several times on the Do's and Dont's on how to safely and successfully ride the RT was great and gave me an education in Spyder bikes that I wasn't aware of. I'm upgrading to the 2014 Limited and is there a "Do's and Dont's" for this bike, since it's a different engine and transmission?

:welcome: to the party. There has not been anything posted yet--but I am sure it is going to become a work in progress as people begin to put miles on the new 1330 ACE engine. Any 2014 RT owners up to the task? :thumbup:

I will add info, suggestions, and pointers to that thread as I see them posted here.

So far the main difference appears to be that you do not have to be conscientious about the shift-points with the new 1330's as you would with the 990 series engines. And, so far, the heat issues seem to have been addressed to a large degree with the 1330's. Could it be BRP has ironed-out the performance issues with the new RTS 1330? We'll see in time...

Otherwise, much of what is posted can still relate to the new RTS 1330, such as steering and etc.

Certainly if any 1330 owner sends a PM to me with information relating directly to the thread's intent of providing operational hints, I will be more than happy to add them. Please keep in mind, the thread's intent is related to stock performance suggestions; not customization ideas.

Lastly, for all of us "up north" spring is right around the corner again... so think spring!:thumbup:

No need to do this, as you only stop for fuel half the time. Thus you save time for riding :yes:
