As more states approve additional levels of ethanol gas, the IPhone application Pure Gas is a great tool. It is a free app that will show you locations of non ethanol gasoline wherever you are. I used it several times last summer while traveling and it works great. It even has a mapping feature to give you turn by turn directions to the gas station you choose.

This isn't listed for my windows based phone. I wonder if they will make a compatible version? Would be great to know.

Any station selling E15 fuel is required, by law, to have an E15 warning sticker on all pumps dispensing E15 fuel.

I NO LONGER VISIT CERTAIN STATES FOR SPECIFIC REASONS...
ie; California, NY, NJ, MASS, CONN, RI... etc etc etc...
i see it's time to also add Missouri to my list...
even the 10% is a fuel-system killer...
when will these idiotic laws stop? i guess when pop-corn starts coming out of our tailpipes....

Sometimes I wonder what are they thinking??? :dontknow: Another tack to get all old cars off the road so we can all get electrics at three times the price? :yikes:

I am very concerned about this. AMA is fighting it for all of us. I am a Life Member because of all they do for the motorcycle world.
Signs mean nothing. Stations routinly get delieverys?grades mixed up, but are are not talked about much.

Blended pumps are very dangerious. According some test about a third of a gallon of fuel is the last fuel dispenced from that pump. You select highest grade and you might get a third of a gallon of lowest grade. along with a couple gallons what you selected. EPA has said, you shold get at least four gallons of fuel to offest any problems with the last delievery.
Some test indicate it will only take a couple tanks of E-15 to start damaging some engines.
E-15 in a blended pump, on to thenext station for me.

Just to add, watch most small engines, they will quit very quicklyas well. Lawn and garden tools.
Some information from past AMA stories.
Oldmanzues

Just for the heck of it. This was not talked about much either. The Presidents car quit running during a official event and had to be towed for problems. Problem was the fuel they put in. that car/s have diesel engines because of all the armor and safety devices. They put regular gas in it. Wiped the engine out

When riding in the USA and in Canada I always buy the highest octane fuel available. I do not and will never run the spyder on cheap low octane fuel.
I have never had a problem with my 2010 spyder RT-S:thumbup: The cost of buying the spyder is not worth trying to save a few bucks on cheap fuel.

Although the EPA enforces the ethanol rules, the Iowa-Nebraska farm lobby is behind all this. [snip]
Welfare for corporate farmers.

Absolutely correct. The lobbyists behind this work for Archer Daniels Midland, Cargill, Monsanto, etc. All of them are corporate agriculture entities. Ethanol as a fuel from corn hurts everyone except the corporate entities.
