Hi I just thought I'd share a video of how I make the spacers for the Dash Mount System (http://gnipsel.com/spyderstore/index.php?route=product/category&path=63) that I manufacture in house. The machine making them is a Hardinge CHNC I cnc chucker lathe.

Could you post a few more pictures how the dash mount system works in practice. I am kind of thick headed and don't understand how I could hook a GPS up to it. Right now I have it on a crummy contraption between the handle bars--using a ram mount. The ram mount is ok, but the contraption isn't. A few more pics would help.

That's a cool piece! Should provide a lot of mounting options for sure. Nice work!

I thought that the plotline was a bit implausible...
But the heroine was beautiful, and the action scenes were nicely shot!

I spend many of long evenings getting it converted to LinxuCNC.

Here is some photos of the machine...

Ouch! That hurt my ears listening to the first cut after drilling the hole.

When I worked for Sidel, we had lots of three and four axis CNC machines
to watch making mold parts for the bottling industry. Simple lathes too.

Being a Mold Technician, my job was polishing the inside machined surfaces to a mirror
finish by hand using powered air tools. Also, assembling the molds and some times testing them.

Nice video.

Thanks, the delrin does kinda squeal when cut with the parting tool. I need to find some inserts for aluminum they would cut better on delrin.

That Dash Mount of yours looks about like the perfect way to put something up in your line of sight... WITHOUT cobbing up the dash! :2thumbs:

Yep, no holes to drill, no tape as I use the factory holes. Plenty of options for mounting with 5 1/4" mounting holes. You could use that to mount those cubby hole things and cell phones, GPS's. One guy want's to use one to mount his sunglasses holder.

FYI, I have both the dash mount and the dual usb plug and I must say, one of my best mods yet. These are both very high quality parts. Very, very well made and a great idea!
Thanks for making them for us JT. Please keep your products coming!

Could a brushed stainless piece up there, cause trouble with reflections and glare?

Brushed SS has a matt finish so no reflections.
