Ok I have been wanting to do this on my previous spyders but never got around to it. The cold weather has had me working on this the past week.

Here is a sneak peak of the Spyder-Dude custom 2014 RTS Cognac Blacked out edition! :)

I am in the processing of getting a few of my mods done before leaving for Daytona Bike Week next Friday and currently the spyder is all tore apart.

I have been considering something similar for our Pearl White RTs.

The Cognac and black look good. Did you paint or plastidip all the silver trim items.

I opted out of doing black on the Pearl White, but have been considering Pearl White with metallic or candy blue similar to yours.

Still undecided, The wife has said some more painting of the bodywork may be fine also.

So we sit undecided...

Plasti Dip is my new favorite friend. The stuff is amazing on how well it works and if you mess up just peel it off and do it again. The best $6 I have ever spent. Will post pictures when I get it back together.

Another photo of the windshield mount. I decided to tape off and do it without removing the bracket and it worked pretty well.

Are you also going to dip those chrome windshield trim pieces? ;)

They aren't chrome Bob, they are satin on the RTS. Gheesh, you would think you would know that. ;)

I call them brushed chrome parts and yes they are all now flat black. Completion pictures to follow once I get the mods put on and back together.

Yeah, they remind me of Brushed Nickel parts. I looked it up and Can-Am calls them: Satin Chrome

Carbon Black and Satin Chrome parts

Any mod is good. It is what makes the :spyder2: yours.

RE: Chrome parts. The LTDs have the shiney stuff and the RTs the satin plastic parts. Guess that's why the LTDs cost about $2K more--chrome and Garmin.

I need to get a couple of cans of the yellow plasti dip so I can try to create the cognac color for my helmets. Am thinking yellow, red, and orange and some copper metalizer and I just may do it. Came close with a koi orange and the copper metalizer, but still a bit on the orange side, and we know how the cognac spyders change color in the sun.

Did anyone ever find the right mixture of Plasti Dip colors to get a close match to Cognac? I want to do stripes on my HF trailer

Anyone try the classic mango color yet?

Really sharp. How much time was involved for all of the work that you did?
