I FOUND THIS TO BE RATHER INTERESTING.....
http://www.fool.com/investing/general/2014/02/16/50-states-ranked-for-highest-motorcycle-ownership.aspx
however, i would like also to know the State rankings of 'miles per year ridden' and 'days per year which are rideable'....
as for states like Iowa, NH & SD, riding is mostly not possible between December and March... whereas, southern/western states have 12 months each year of riding.... :chat:

Governor Cuomo already told a bunch of us, that we're no longer welcome here... :shocked:

We're Number 1....We're Number 1...We're Number 1...We're Number 1 :D:D:D:yes::yes::yes:

Bob... not welcome in NY? Motorcycles in general, or just people that love freedom of all types? :dontknow: I'll think of ya as I drink my 16+ oz soda whilst out shooting my AR's and AK's. :p

As an aside, I don't have the link, but SD is also the second freest State in the nation right next to ND.

I see Alaska made top 10. For the most part, people do not ride between October and March.

Wow.

If you cross tabbed that data with a "riding" cohort of males between 21 and 65 years with incomes over the poverty line, I wonder what the graph would look like. Then (I'm thinking out loud) if you graphed that against riding days, that would be interesting. Also, if you graphed it against average fitness level for the riding cohort, I bet you would find that motorcyclists are more physically fit, do not congregate in large cities--maybe in the suburbs though--and that higher incomes are negatively correlated with motorcyclists in the 40 to 60 age group. I am too busy over the next two weeks to do these statistics...but maybe someone will do it...

Massachusetts is getting kind of cool... They've actually got ATV and snowmobile trail systems in a bunch of their State Parks... :thumbup:

That makes it easier to forgive some of the insanity... :shocked:

Most of all New York hates anyone that does not pay State Income Taxes. We are called 3rd class citizens. Anyway I think the stats need some adjustments.

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalkthat is what caused me to ask all the statistics questions. There must be an explanation for that apparent contradiction.

Not leaving yet and when that day comes the headcount will only be one. The choice I've yet to make is when. I do know where.

In SD, we ride year round if the roads are dry. ;) We got rides in in Nov, Dec, Jan, and Feb so far... the rest will be a breeze. I even saw a guy on his Harley the other night. :shocked:
