I was just reading a new copy of Rider Magazine and thinking about when my RT will be able to come out of it's rest period. Probably not going to be any time soon. It is currently 6 degrees below zero with a wind chill of -40 here in sunny, southern Minnesota. Tonight it is supposed to be -23 with a wind chill of -59. Luckily, we are not having the snow that the folks in the east are having.

If you keep that kind of talk up all those southern folks will be heading north to get in on a real winter paradise. :ohyea::ohyea:

I would like to but, no time in my schedule. Being retired really seems to reduce the amount of free time available. As everyone says, "I don't know how there was ever time to work"

that is cold..if you spit it will freeze in mid air..but hopefully it will be a short season. It's not how cold it gets..it's how long it stays that cold...

Hang in there. As a former Minnesotan (Duluth, MN) I remember those below zero times well. You folks seem to be getting the cold stuff. We have a foot and a half of snow on the ground and it was 30 degrees above zero today in Chugiak Alaska. No, I don't want to trade.

It was mostly sunny and 82 here in Central Fl. today. I enjoyed a great ride. And no, I don't want to trade.

Even though the snow limits riding, I do like the seasons and get excited about a good blast of snow and cold. Though some of those Northern Plains winter temps are more extreme than I am accustomed to. Nothing against the Florida/Louisiana folks, but I would rather ride in 35 degrees than 90 degrees+ and 90% humidity.

Talked to an old guy yesterday after church and he's lived here for 50+ years and has never seen temps this cold. I don't know how much of the "Global Warming" I can stand. :joke:

LOL Funny, I'm in shorts till about 20-25 degrees. As much as I would love to ride year round, I love it up here in the North.
Give me 10 degrees and 4 feet of snow and I'm just as happy as 80 and sunny. Then again, I also snowmobile.

Fortunately, your Spyder is not subject to 'Wind Chill' factor. Unfortunately, you are!

Also we had some ice jams, in Vermont. Deanna777
