Now that looks nice! No huge oversized fender washers either! I can't wait to hear your review. I might break down and buy one for my trip to CA in September.

do they come tinted

I don't know, tatt2r--:dontknow:

I just checked the other ten or so models they make for Suzuki, Yanaha, Buell, etc, and they're all clear.

(Any idea, Ev??)

Also, it'd be neat to (somehow) see a side-by-side comparison with the F1 shield.

I contacted Calsci directly, and they said no.

Sorry you'll have to go to Calsci direct for that. Of course by the time you pay to ship your F1 to CA and wait till you get your new one shipped from CA it won't be much of a savings after all.

Lamont doesn't have the shock covers for the outlander.......looking around I am thinking, is that the only mod that Lamont DOESN't have? I am waiting to see how his SPyder performs with a motor in it from an m109.

The first post made it seem like the mod was a purple cloth....for just s tiny second I was thinking well he found some fibres that auto balance the wheels and keep em from deflating at the same time, maybe this purple rag is some sort of invisibility cloak or something.....lol.

Lamont...From bottom to top, how tall is it? By the looks, you can see pretty good over the top. Or, you don't care unless it's a bambi.

Guess I just need wind.:dontknow: I rode around today and I hated not having at least some wind in my face. I tried to like it but it's just not for me the way it was.

I told Evan that I'm use to having wind and it was making my neck hurt not having any. I guess the old muscle memory kicked in. I love where I have my GPS now and I hated to give that up by going back to the BRP touring shield so Evan suggested I take it to a glass shop and see if they could cut it down. That was a great idea but I have a band-saw so I did it myself and now I'm happy again.:D:2thumbs::doorag:

I cut 4 1/4" off of it and right now it's about 1" taller than the BRP Touring shield.

Exactly the same thing with me. I purchased Marcel's F1 and it did its job so well that I got NO wind! Got very hot behind it. Found myself leaning off as far as I could to catch some breeze.

Took it off and went back to the BRP Touring. Intended to take the F1 with me for the Interstates and speed riding (to get to destination ASAP if necessary. Then take the touring shield out of the trunk and swap it out for the local riding. Just too much hassle!! I might use the F1 when colder weather gets here.

However ........ I'm hoping Thibaults adjustable shield does the trick. Quiet and a calm envelope at high setting and good clean wind at the low setting. I can fine tune it in between the two max settings. I'll keep you posted and do a review when I get it...

OK, now I'm thinking of cutting down my F1 shield...

I cut about 4 inches off my Evo III last Saturday. Unfortunately, thats as far as I got with it. Got a little wild with the bandsaw and now I need to get the sander out to even out a few cuts and make the entire cut edge smooth. After that, I am going to rebend the lip as it was before and maybe try to bend it just a touch at some point just above the dash to get the top of the windshield closer to me.

A jigsaw works good too,I use a metal blade and put tape on the saw table as not to scratch the plastic. Then put a light sand on the edges and top it off with a light oiling to make it look good.

Did I miss the answer to this? I thought I read somewhere that you needed to move the clutch. What is the scoop Lamonster?

I have one and the clutch lever just touches the shield... not enough to push it in... or worry about it.
