I know it's early, but my teaching schedule has come out and I am trying to plan some motorcycle trips around it.

Lamont, what do you think about a dedicated Events/Rides Section/Thread? We have model specific Forums, but maybe one that is just dedicated to big events and rides. Make it easy to find out about SpyderFest, Maggie Valley, your barbecue, Spyder Rally in Myrtle, etc.
Spyder Owners Event in Maggie Valley again this year? If so, dates? I need to allocate more time for it this year, last year we rushed through that then rushed over to Lamont's, then rushed home.
SpyderFest, Cuba MO? Dates? Info?

I would bet heavily against BRP owners event being in Maggie Valley again . consecutive years there would "toast" the westerners..... and frankly leave a lot of places
unexplored..

Agree on the owners event. My guess is out west, maybe Colorado again. Probably won't be announced until February time frame.

Man, that butts right up against the Spyder Rally in Myrtle. I originally thought the Myrtle Spyder Rally was going to be the first weekend of Bike week (which is the following week) but I must have had wrong in my head. It would be nice if we didn't have to chose one or the other, but realistically, 3000 mile round trip or 360 mile round trip? hmmm... Gonna have to go with 360. I still have to work and taking enough time to get out to MO and back and spend some time out there isn't for those with limited vacation times.

For those wanting to attend bike week March 7th to 16th at Daytona the Spyderlovers host hotel The Country Inn &Suites still has rooms at special rates of $159.00 per night for Spyderlovers..Many of us have booked including Lamonster, Len of Pitbull.Reggy of Tricled and Harvey of Spyderpops.Book as little or as many nights a you wish.Lamont,Harvey,Len and the Pittbull Crew will be doing Alignments in the parking lot of the hotel.
The BRP owners appreciation day should be the last weekend with hopefully the ride on the track.
Call hotel direct n 386-760-0101 quoting Sunbird Spyder group to get the rates and book in with The Spyderlovers group

Setting up a Spyder meet up in Oatman would be a real gas. There are a couple of good hotels nearby.
Unfortunately, I don't have a clue how to get such a meetup started. (color me stupid if you want--but I really have no idea how to start such a thing.) :dontknow:

The forum has a calendar feature I believe but is not set up. Lamont can activate and configure it so admins can post legitimate events.

So now that events have all been move to this event forum, no one comes here. So what good was this, 3 viewer when I checked in. Sometimes you must think before you wish. Maybe time will help, but in my opinion, doubtful.

ROLO LLC is proud to announce the first annual “Destination Spyder”.

This first annual event will take place BIKEWEEK 2014 from March 7-16, 2014 and will be located at the Official headquarters of OUTLAW LASER ALIGNMENT SYSTEM in Edgewater , Fl ; just a short drive down US 1 from Daytona.
A “Spyder" only vendor area will be located both outside and inside of the complex. Outside vendor areas will be located on 8000 sq. ft. of concrete, and also "inside" vendor areas will located inside the 7500 sq. ft. building.
We will have continuous updates as we go ….but put us in your calendar as we will have daily scenic rides, food, vendor areas and LOTS OF FUN.

As a extra bonus at that time of year “ YOU CAN’T BEAT THE BEAUTIFUL WEATHER” it is perfect riding weather.. just bring the sunscreen !!!!

FYI: we will host Biketoberfest TOO...
