Last week my 9 y.o. daughter brought me her iPod 4 saying it wouldn't charge. It appeared something had been crammed in the charge port and bent/broke several pins. Called the local repair shop and they wanted $125 to fix it. Figured I could buy a used one for that, so after watching a few YouTube videos I decided to try fixing it myself.

New charge port from eBay: $3
New battery from eBay: $6.50
One happy little girl: Priceless!

where there is a bit of adventure there is more often than not success.. Great job in repairing the pod and making a little girl happy...:2thumbs:

No. Entirely too tedious for me. I'll stick to making cup holders.
BTW Bruiser, what part of eastern NC are you in? I'm in "Mount Pilot" aka Pilot Mountain but I head down to Swansboro several times a year.
