I forgot to list in my bullet points that it has 3 modes of operation.

A mode
Std mode
B mode

B is rain mode and ill be using that often especially getting to know the machine and getting my 2 wheeled skills sharpened back up.

Std and a mode are full hooligan but b mode is calm and predictable as a tractor. My test drive went well and the bike was at the top of my short list.

Wow, that FZ-09 looks so inviting! Maybe I'll go check it out when it's sunny and dry.

Very nice choice. It looks sleek and fast. I am pretty easy when it comes to motorcycles. I never met a ride that I did not like!

Looking at the location of the pegs I can see why.

I shouldnt joke like that but couldnt help myself. Awesome, awesome machine!

Very fun ride. I found myself needing to remember a few key things:

Put foot down at stop.
Front brake right hand
No ABS
No traction control
No wheelie control:)
No stability control

:2thumbs: So how are you making out with sharing yourself among the two rides? :D
Hiow is the transition; from one to another?

Just marvelous Bob! I switch from the Yamaha to the spyder and its become pretty effortless. Stomp on the brakes! Theyre antilock it don't matter! Nanny is my safety net. No countersteering. Etc, etc.

It's a little trickier going from the spyder to the Yamaha. No safety net. Countersteering. Easy on the brakes. Hope my tires stick in the curves.

1000 miles in 2 days over the weekend! Rode the dragon, cherohala skyway, and devils triangle. Oh, and way too much super slab. Love this bike!

I saw them at Jones beach, Long Island NY two summers ago. A real blast from the past.

It would be my choice  I had an fz6 a few years back. Yamaha makes a good product. Good luck, be safe.
