Howdy folks. If you are in the Waynesville/St Robert/Fort Leonard Wood area on Monday you are welcome to join in riding the Veterans Day Parade. We are meeting up with another group at the Eagle Stop Gas Station by I44 and Big O's Tire at 9:45 and riding to the start point for the parade at 10:00. If you are not in Central Missouri find a Veterans parade to join in your area and show your support the US Military Veterans. I served for 22 years in the Army and still support the men and women of the Armed Forces.

We not only appreciate the support but also support one another. I am an American Legion member and an American Legion Rider. We do a lot of things for our vets and our community. I also belong to the local United Veterans Honor Guard, doing military honors for deceased veterans as well as parades and ceremonies. It all adds up and the need is great for more volunteers to keep these things going for the future.

Thanks to all who have served and are now serving. The saying: "All gave some, some gave all" is true today and will be tomorrow.

I am "Hard Core" ( do as many as I can) Patriot Guard rider, as are many on here. I had the Honor today to talk to the families and escort the The Doolittle Raiders to the National Museum of the Air Force for their final reunion and to drink their last toast together. As part of th event, their was a outdoor wreath laying at their monument and a fly over by B-25 Bombers. The planes they flew off a carrier to bomb Japan. They did this knowing they had little or no chance to make it to a airfield without running out of fuel. 15 of the 16 crashed. Only four remain alive, only three made it here today.

Yes I did mean B-25s, two engine land based bombers

Haven't heard that base name in awhile. I went to basic at Fort Lost in the Woods back in 1974.....:roflblack:

I was truly lost, being from the NW....:doorag:

I plan on it, thanks. course, if we have lunch at Applebee's or Cracker Barrel, it'll be free either way. :P my question is, where is the location that we plan on meeting?

Joe; If you're coming out I44, take exit 159. The Eagle Stop the first thing you see on the right.

BumbleBee and I will be at the parade, as usual. But we'll be meeting our ALR Chapter at the Post.

There will be a lunch served at the Post at 1400 as well. Just in case you can't decide where to eat. :doorag:

We did our Texas Honor ride from Houston to San Antonio yesterday. Almost 800 bikes took part. This year $260,000 was raised to help the wounded soldiers at BAMC and their families. Was a great day and great event to support those who support our freedoms. As a former Army medic, this trip back to Ft Sam was especially important. Saw many Spyders in the groups coming in to the event. Thanks to everyone who has served, is serving, and will serve.

Remember, Veterans Day used to be Armistice Day. It was to commemorate the day the treaty ending WW1 was signed, the war to end all wars. Sure wish they'd got that one right.

Thanks to Joe Thomas and Ricky Len for supporting our little TriCities Veterans Day Parade. Joe was a definite hit riding the parade in reverse. Pray everyone got home safe.

Wish we had made it. Jonathan was performing his first JROTC Color Guard at the Veterans Day ceremony at OTC. Couldn't miss that. :doorag:

Kathy and I riding in the parade. Some of you may recognize the gentleman that rode up from Springfield to join in the parade.
